We are seeking a Training and Talent Development Specialist for our Salisbury, North Carolina Plant.
Job Summary:
Work directly with the Plant Manager and is responsible for analyzing operational output in correlation with training needs. Focus on operational improvement, identify primary areas of opportunity as focus points and outline learning and development plans for individuals, teams, and the overall facility including customers, contractors, and visitors as appropriate. Coordinate with the functional leadership team to ensure positions are staffed with trained, experienced employees.

- Data analysis – the ability to analyze and assess data and determine the impact of their training programs and use this data to make informed changes

- Communication skills –effective verbal and written communicators, able to speak with employees and staff at all levels and provide detailed but brief information via email and/or memos
- Technically Savvy- usage of innovative technologies and software applications
Essential Job Functions:
- Daily analysis of operational data and interpretation of output in comparison with targets
- Develop effective and interactive training programs and materials to support employee development and organizational enhancement.
- Lead coaching sessions, working directly with employees to provide guidance and build skills essential for their position.
- Coordination of training and the evaluation of direct and indirect personnel, including new hire orientation and onboarding for hourly and salary employees.
- Design training curriculum and needs assessments for all positions, coordinate training sessions-conduct when appropriate, complete evaluations and provide certification when applicable.
- Analyze development progress and suggest additional training modules for work teams, as needed.
- Partner with other company representatives and/or vendors as needed to provide specialized curriculum
- Work with department managers and company leadership to determine when to schedule training sessions and programs to prevent excessive business interruption.
- Provide guidance to the operations onboarding team, advising them on how to best incorporate activities and materials and assess the impact of training on employees.
- Maintain training records for all employees and update training matrix
- Develop training KOP’s and programs, update as necessary
- Responsible for Training procedures and work instructions development.
- Responsible for coordinating retraining required due to document and/or process changes.
- Oversee training schedules, ensuring that programs are delivered on time and according to internal timelines.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree required or Bachelor's preferred in organizational development.
- At least three years of experience in a manufacturing environment in the training and talent development area.
- Proficient with MS Office including Excel and Powerpoint.
- Excellent communication skills and must demonstrate teamwork aptitude.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish or Ukrainian is strongly preferred.
