We would like to speak with experienced Managers / Deputy Manager's within a Residential Childcare setting or, Early Intervention, Children's / Early Years Centres, or Educational settings within the community - as we have an exciting opportunity for you to pass on your skills and knowledge to Apprentice learners!
Salary:
£25,000 (For unqualified Assessors) - Full training and support will be provided to achieve the AET and TAQA
Salary banding ranges up to £31,000 for candidates who are qualified, but not up and running / qualified and experienced (We still welcome qualified candidates to apply).
Location: West Midlands - Home/Field based (Must be flexible with travel)

- Assessors are based from home, planning own diary visiting learners in their place of work.
Essential Criteria:
- You must hold solid occupational competency/hands on experience within Residential Childcare, at Deputy Manager level or above.
- Must hold a recognised Level 5 qualification in Residential Childcare / Children, Young People and Families Manager.
- You must be confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
- Must be IT literate.
- Full, clean, UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Must be flexible with travel and visiting learners outside of the normal 9-5 working hours due to some learners working late shifts.
Duties:
- Assess and support a caseload of learners working towards Apprenticeship Standards in Children and Young People/Residential Childcare up to Level 5 (Children, Young People and Families Practitioner Level 4 and Children, Young People and Families Manager Level 5).
- Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely reviews and meetings are conducted.
- Support learners to achieve Functional Skills Maths and English to level 2.
- Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
- Support, advise and motivate learners.
- Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
