Job description
Position Summary:
We're on the lookout for someone awesome who knows their stuff when it comes to electro-mechanical assembly. We're really into thermoforming, especially when it involves laser, heat seal, and ultrasonic welding. Don't worry if you have never used this kit, we can train you. As our Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will play a crucial role in assembling intricate components, ensuring the functionality and quality of electro-mechanical systems.
You’ll also be involved in the development of our manufacturing processes. As we move away from manual assembly into automated, you’ll be part of the team designing new manufacturing processes.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections to verify the quality of plastic welded joints, ensuring compliance with specifications and industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plastic welding processes to maintain efficiency.
- Assemble complex electro-mechanical systems, integrating various components such as motors, sensors, printed circuit boards, and mechanical structures.
- Follow detailed assembly instructions, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate and efficient assembly processes.
- Conduct functional tests on assembled systems to ensure proper operation and adherence to quality standards.
- Perform thorough quality checks at each stage of the assembly process, identifying and addressing any defects or deviations.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain detailed records of assembly processes, including any deviations or adjustments made during the manufacturing process.
- Generate reports on production efficiency, quality metrics, and areas for improvement.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Experience in a similar electromechanical manufacturing environment.
- Experienced working in a similar regulated manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications / Education:
- Required: ONC /HNC or HND or equivalent in an electrical or Mechanical discipline
- Advantageous: 3D CAD (SolidWorks) experience
- Advantageous: Metrology systems /measurement systems & measurement systems analysis
