The Role Reporting to the Finance Director, you would provide a high standard of support across the Finance function, taking responsibility for a broad range of tasks including…
- Sage Payroll including completing weekly / monthly payroll, staff purchase accounts, commission and private mileage
- Processing HMRC - NI/PAYE
- Setting up new employees on Sage, inputting qualifications & training and all HR updates
- Sage accounts including setting up new customer/supplier, credit control, purchase ledger
- Bank, credit card and petty cash reconciliation, card processing and reconciliation
- Identifying and resolving any variances, queries or issues
- Identifying problem areas in existing processes and suggesting solutions and improvements
Your role would also cover a variety of HR administration tasks, including holiday & absence control, staff welfare SSP/SMP/SPP/CSA/Salary Sacrifice, plus updating training and health & safety records.

The Candidate The ideal candidate for the role must have worked as part of a high volume and fast paced accounts team, with a sound understanding of sales ledger / accounts receivable processes plus bank/cash reconciliation experience. You will be a well organised individual, able to multitask and prioritise a workload effectively, with strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail. Strong IT skills, particularly Excel, will be necessary, as will a good sense of initiative plus a proactive approach to resolving issues.
