Tes is supporting the appointment of a Secondary Lead Practitioner- Maths to join a Enfield based in Enfield.
Location: Enfield – easily accessible from central, north, and east London, as well as surrounding areas.
Salary: Competitive (MPS + TLR, UPS, or LPS depending on experience)
Working pattern: Full-time (Flexible/Part-time working will be considered)
Contract: Permanent
Start date: September 2024

The role of lead practitioner is critical to the continuing progress of the academy. It is essential to how we will achieve the highest standard of teaching and learning in every classroom. Lead practitioners are exemplary classroom practitioners who secure student outcomes for all students in their own classrooms as well as through the development of others’ teaching.
As part of the Math’s faculty, the lead practitioner will take a leading role in developing the classroom practice of teachers within the faculty. The lead practitioner will work with a particular cohort of teachers, for example, trainees and may also have a remit beyond the faculty. Lead practitioners carry out individual coaching, delivering inset or training, as required and will work alongside the Vice Principal and Assistant Principals for Teaching & Curriculum to support the whole school priorities.

The Academy was founded in 2013 with one class of reception children. We are now a fully-fledged all-through school, running from nursery to year 13, with over 1700 children. Our secondary school is oversubscribed, with a waiting list for every year group. Our community is composed of supportive and committed families who buy into our vision and work with us to ensure their children achieve all they are capable of in the future.

Travelling by rail from central London : Our nearest overground station, Turkey Street, is a 10-minute walk from the school and stops at Seven Sisters, Stoke Newington, and Hackney Downs on the way to Liverpool Street. National Rail services are also a 10-minute walk and stop at Tottenham Hale and Hackney Downs before finishing at Liverpool Street.
Travelling by car : We are easily reached by car, with most of Northeast London accessible within 30 minutes. There is free on-site parking for staff.
