37.5 hours

5 out of 7 Days a Week

0700 - 1500/1100-1900

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hospital Cleaning Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness and sanitation of our healthcare facility. The Cleaning Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of cleaning staff to ensure that all areas of the hospital are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and coordinate the daily cleaning operations in the hospital, including patient rooms, operating rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, and common areas.
  2. Train, schedule, and assign tasks to cleaning staff, ensuring that all areas are cleaned according to hospital standards and protocols.
  3. Inspect and evaluate the cleanliness of all areas, identifying and addressing any issues or areas in need of improvement.
  4. Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary materials are available for the cleaning staff.
  5. Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  6. Collaborate with other departments, such as Environmental Services and Infection Control, to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  7. Conduct regular performance evaluations of cleaning staff, providing feedback and coaching to support their professional development.
  8. Respond to cleaning emergencies or special cleaning requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  9. Maintain records and documentation related to cleaning schedules, inspections, and staff training.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in cleaning or housekeeping is a plus.

- Proven experience in a supervisory role in a healthcare or hospitality setting.

- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment used in healthcare environments.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

- Knowledge of infection control protocols and safety regulations in healthcare facilities.
