Do you have excellent communication skills and enjoy making a difference to the lives of others?

Consider a care working in Adult Social Care. As a care worker, you can work in a variety of settings - care homes, someone’s home or within the community. You’ll support people with social and physical activities which could include:
• eating and drinking
• attending appointments and social activities
• shopping and money management
• undergoing basic medical checks
• washing and dressing

You don’t need any qualifications to start and you’ll be given a full induction including the Care Certificate. You’ll also undergo training such as health and safety, first aid, moving and handling and any specific training based on individual care needs. There is the opportunity to work towards formal and vocational qualifications once in post to progress and develop in adult social care and specialise in a certain area or take on more responsibility.

Adult social care roles can be flexible. Hours are usually based on shift patterns, enabling you to find a work/life balance that suits you.
