Our client is looking for a Project Engineer for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen.
ROLE
The Project Engineer will support the Project Manager with all planning deliverables for project. They must support in the overall delivery of the business objectives through the aligning of deliverables to that of the individual Business Unit strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Project Manager in planning and supervision to ensure activities are executed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
- Lead work independently, inclusive of supervision and team development as required.
- Manage assigned work through all phases to ensure objectives are being met with regards to HSE, quality, cost, budget management, and schedule.
- Engage with Supply Chain to develop strategies, tender packages, contract exhibits, bid evaluations, requisitions and contract management plans.
- Provide validation of contractor and supplier invoicing prior to payment.
- Direct contractors through all phases of work required to execute activities. Manage contractor progress, interventions, and variation orders as required.
- Ensure all activities follow the Project Management Standard, Engineering Management Standards and Stage Gate Standard
- Develop relationships and manage key onshore and offshore interfaces.
- Maintain good communications with stakeholders for progress reporting.
- Prepare and present updates for senior management as required.
- Interface with project services in the preparation and maintenance of schedules, cost estimates, forecasts, risks and other reporting.
REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive experience in all Access & Coatings activities
- Customer focused.
- IT skills such as, MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to demonstrate technical capability.
- Good level of secondary education
- Delivery focussed and committed to achievement of project/company goals.
- The individual must be proactive, work on their own initiative, be a good team player, and have good leadership and communication skills.
