Job Advert
Bexley Care is a partnership between the London Borough of Bexley and Oxleas Foundation Trust delivering integrated community health, Adult Social Care and Mental Health services in Bexley.
In this role you will be part of the Senior leadership who have responsibility for leading Bexley Care staff and the delivery of integrated services. As a senior manager for operational Adult Social Care, you will have a key role in Bexley Care working with other Service managers to deliver high quality Adult Social Care services across the Borough.
You will also have a crucial role in working in partnership with our voluntary sector partners and domiciliary and reablement care providers following our recent transformation to include third sector providers as trusted partners to deliver Care Act assessments with Adult Social Care.
Educated to degree level with a relevant qualification in Health or Social Care and registered with professional body eg, Occupational Therapist, Social Work or Nurse, you will be experienced at senior management level in a health or social care organisation.
Experience of supporting transformational change across services, involving other statutory and third sector and independent sector providers as well as supporting other providers, teams and individuals to achieve objectives is essential. Also experience of involving people who need social care support and carers in the development and improvement of services and of developing new service models that empower people who need social care support and their carers are also essential.
There will be requirements to work on call at weekends for the support of hospital discharge.

Candidate Profile
Due to an increase in demand for the service, we are seeking to appoint innovative HCPC registered Educational Psychologists to take up a full time permanent Advanced Practitioner or Maingrade post. For the Advanced Practitioner post this would be an Educational Psychologist who has gained SPA3, has experience in developing an area of specialism and who is motivated to progress their skills in supervision.
Working as an Advanced Practitioner is an exciting opportunity to develop a particular area of specialism and have additional opportunities for systemic working. As an Advanced Practitioner you would work closely with the SEP team and want to take an extra step in your career, applying psychology at a more systemic level and developing close working relationships with other professionals / agencies.
