We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineers to support one of our customers with projects and requires a clear understanding of Composite assembly processes and improvements. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience, seniority, etc. The contract is deemed outside of IR35 for Sub-contract labour but Staff positions are available for the right candidates. The successful candidates will play a key role in delivering a high-quality service to our client and will be expected to be proactive and self-motivated in delivering the targeted outputs to support the product.
The Manufacturing Engineer will report directly to the Product Delivery Leader (PDL) and their role will involve them to be based at the Client's site.
Working within the ME team in our Aero Business Unit, successful candidates will join our experienced team, with whom you will work on varied projects in high-tech and future-oriented industries taking on exciting and responsible tasks according to your skills and knowledge, thus expanding your existing know-how.
- Knowledge and understanding of Manufacturing Processes with Composite materials
- Produce Engineering outputs to meet on-target delivery dates and Quality requirements
- Ensure ‘Right First Time’ outputs are met in-line with Business KPI’s
- Be involved with continuous improvement process & offer improvement suggestions
- Interface with external stakeholders to understand technical issues / specifications
- Attend reviews (both internal and external) where required
- Work in accordance with the Expleo QMS and customer quality requirements
- Work closely with Operations to manage key processes
- Engineering degree, or equivalent, with proven practical Engineering & manufacturing knowledge and experience
- Candidates without accredited qualifications will be considered depending upon experience
- Strong understanding of Composite Manufacturing and Assembly Processes
- Ability to interpret drawings and/or CAD models
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Proactive ‘Team Player’ with a focus on delivery and quality who can work and act autonomously
- Excellent communication skills
- Have good written and verbal communication skills and be capable of making sound technical judgements and appropriate decisions
- Assertiveness, independent, structured way of working and the ability to find oneself in a multicultural working environment
- Experience of Composite Processes and standards
- Several years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment
- Aerospace & Defence experience preferable but Marine & Automotive will be considered
- Proactive Team Player with a focus on delivery and quality
- Good communicator who is professional during interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.
