Job description
Key Task and Responsibilities Using the recognised national standards of co-production to support the Involve Team in ensuring service users, carers and public involvement are at the heart of service improvement in the Trust. To support the delivery of the Trust Values so that high standards of service, communications and practice are consistently experienced by service users, carers, and visitors To provide staff with best practice guidance on coproduction and service user/ carer involvement To be the first point of contact for any IR participant requiring support in contributing to involvement projects To be sensitive to the potential difficulties of engagement and provide appropriate support, this will include (not limited to), providing pre and post support via phone call or e-mail as part of an involvement activity To be responsible for increasing the number of participants on the Involvement register (IR), as per the KPIs in the Involved strategy-either via networking opportunities, attending meetings and events or public events Supporting the team by participating in department or service events Work in collaboration with other directorates and teams, particularly Quality Improvement and Patient Experience to create a network and share expertise to build stronger networks across the organisation Ensuring that the Oxleas training platforms are updated with all training and support information for co-production and showcasing good examples inspiring others and help to create an environment where co-production is seen as the norm Using data to identify areas/teams that require additional support to bolster their involvement activity To ensure that all applications for the Involve Register are accurately recorded on the central database, and that the data base is updated when required To ensure that all necessary Trust documentation is completed for anyone joining the Involvement Register To collect involvement claim forms from IR participants after the completion of each activity, and then forward to finance colleagues for processing To support the Involve Team in the co-facilitation of the service user/carer engagement groups To facilitate in setting up focus groups as required for specific involvement activity, this will involve advertising via networks, using leaflets and e-mails to publicise, organise the group in person or online and provide facilitation during the sessions to the project lead To carry out other appropriate delegated duties as required To provide regular advice signposting and support to service users and their carers / families in relation to service user and public involvement opportunities To build effective, non-coercive relationships with local service users, carers, families, members of the public and community groups to develop a positive beneficial channel of two-way communication Prepare, support and on occasion accompany service users and carers to enable them to be meaningfully involved in Trust activities Support the development of project plans to further develop service user and public involvement within the relevant services Liaise with the local authority Mental Health services and Mental Health services in Primary Care Networks, South London Partnerships and in the voluntary/community sector Link in with Oxleas volunteering services to ensure effective communication
