Job Title: Head of Delivery for Tech Startups

Responsible to: Director of Service Delivery

Term: Permanent

Salary: £42-£50k

Role Overview

Sunderland Software City is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Tech Startups to lead and oversee our work with early-stage tech startups and high-growth potential tech companies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team, driving growth, fostering innovation, and facilitating an environment conducive to the success of startups and enterprises within the technology sector.

Overseeing delivery of one of our four key strategic areas, the Head of Tech Startups will work with tech startup founders to support product development, connecting them with new markets and help them find investment.

As this role forms part of our Senior Leadership Team, we are keen to speak to candidates with a strong track record in the technology ecosystem, understanding the specific needs that tech startups have and ideally coming with an existing network of ecosystem contacts. This could be from previous roles in the startup and business support sectors or from being a successful tech startup founder.

Our work in this space is evolving at a fast pace, making this an exciting opportunity for candidates with ambition, drive and a passion for the North East technology community. Having delivered startup activities with themes such as 5G, Smart Cities and Immersive Technology, we are striving to reach underrepresented communities and transform opportunities for people and businesses in the region.
