Job description
Here at Wood Care Group, we have a great opportunity for a Payroll Clerk / Accounts to join our family ran business. You'll be assisting with payroll and general bookkeeping duties. You will also have experience with processing payroll previously and be efficient with Excel and Xero software.
As Payroll Clerk assisting with Accounts your role will include:
- Processing Payroll on a monthly and weekly basis using our rota system Care Control and uploading this to Wagestream.
- Developing monthly spreadsheets for the accountants using the weekly payroll data.
- Communicating with the administrators from the care homes to resolve payroll issues.
- Processing new starters, leavers, holiday pay, and other ad hoc payments such as expenses and bonus payments.
- Understand the payroll process from start to finish.
- Managing staff queries regarding the payroll.
- Communicating with the accountants to ensure a quick and accurate pay run each month.
- General accounts / bookkeeping using Xero, and Excel
This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday. We are looking for someone available to work 30 hours per weeks, which can be discussed for shift times in the interview. Fully office based, in Ashton under Lyne. (We are currently based in Delph however are moving to new premises in the next 4-weeks.)
