Job description
This is an alternative provision academy which takes pupils who have been permanently excluded or at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream schools.In 2015 the Academy was judged as outstanding in all categories by Ofsted. As a school they are really proud of their Academy and the opportunities that they can offer their pupils.
They offer a broad and balanced curriculum and is a place where pupils experience many successes. An average of 56 pupils with classes of 6-8 pupils all supported by a teaching assistant, the teaching in this facility is very one to one and head on. They offer holistic care, combining quality, personalised education with emotional support. All pupils are offered 25 hours of education and any pupils whose needs are first met by a flexible timetable are increased to full time with a structured timed plan. Each pupil has a Pastoral support plan for their next steps, clearly-defined timescales and systems to put planning into action.
