Job Description
- Understanding of finance activities across the function including AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, GL and FP&A reporting.
- Support Financial analysis projects as required to provide valuable insights into P&L and Balance Sheet.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders across accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, IT and operational teams within International and the US to deliver projects effectively.
- Drive continuous improvements and standardisation in processes. Best practice sharing across the EMEA SSC and APAC finance team.
- Identify CI opportunities and improvements, working with IT business partners to implement solutions.
- Advanced excel skills with ability to develop tools and reporting within finance
- Supporting the Management of finance projects including implementation of new systems.
- Provide project management to a variety of projects across finance, including developing and leading test plans. Organising resources throughout the project to ensure on time delivery
- Key team member on any post-acquisition or merger integration and accounting. Provide technical expertise and accounting guidance and process development to comply with reporting requirements as required during the integration of any acquired business. Work closely with local accounting teams and external consultants as required. Some travel may be required.
- Key finance team member on any Oracle Implementation roll out to newly acquired entities.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Project Accountant should have:
- Professional certification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Strong experience in project accounting and financial management.
- Strong MS Excel User
- Knowledge of Oracle, Essbase and Power BI
- Experience of improving processes
- Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
- Strong communication and report writing skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and meet deadlines.
