Job description
This is a great opportunity to work with an established mortgage and savings provider where you will be putting the customer first, in a progressive role. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this person will be responsible for the day to day running of the Operational Resilience & Continuity Team (one direct report) and maintaining compliance with internal procedures and FCA regulatory framework relating to Operational Resilience, Business Continuity and Third-Party & Outsourcing. This also includes provision of support and guidance to other business areas and to act as a trusted adviser for the Society across these specific areas. The role is offered as hybrid so you should live within commutable distance at least once a week.
Responsibilities of the Operational Resilience & Continuity Manager
- Accountable for the leadership and management of Operational Resilience & Continuity delivery
- Management of the Operational Resilience Policy, Business Continuity Policy and Third Party & Outsourcing Policy
- Planning, coordinating and leading scenario test exercises
- Monitoring and producing regular reporting on all key performance and risk indicators
- Ensuring all policies, processes and procedures are updated and that the necessary training is undertaken to maintain staff compliance.
Requirements of the Role
- Knowledge of the Regulators Rules, Codes of Practice and Policy Statements including the principles of Consumer Duty and Treating Customers Fairly.
- To act as a Brand Ambassador for the Society and ensure levels of professionalism are maintained at all times.
- To maintain customer confidentiality ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act/ UK GDPR
- Awareness and adherence of controls that prevent financial crime, bribery, and corruption
- Proven track record in Business Continuity Management, Incident Management, Third Party Relationship Management and/or establishing and embedding an operational governance framework and associated policies and procedures.
