IT Manager - Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm - onsite in West Kent

Can you drive a migration piece and oversee all IT functions of their UK company? As the IT Manager, you'll work alongside the Managed Services Provider, responsible for all UK IT projects and ongoing Cyber Security. Your expert knowledge of the industry's best practices and staying up to date with technological advances will be essential to the role as you drive the strategic roadmap, reporting directly into the leadership team to support the companies continued growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure Yearly AS9100D IT and Cyber Essentials/Plus Audits are conducted successfully.
- Managing IT budgets, forecast, and enforcing IT cost-effectiveness.
- Assessing and purchasing new and replacement hardware following approved budgetary process.
- Evaluating risk, developing network recovery and backup processes.
- Good awareness and ability to implement and manage compliance with GDPR requirement.
- Implementing security of the network, data and its storage and communication systems.
- Contribute to Weekly US IT Team Cadence Meetings and work alongside the US IT Team to assist in delivering Global IT Projects
- Run and deliver fortnightly updates to US Applications Team on all Power BI/System Bugs/Improvements and Fixes.
- Write recommendations and present monthly progress to the senior management team on all IT projects - Powerpoint\Project.
- Schedule monthly meetings with the Manager and update the manager on all IT projects - Powerpoint\Project.
- Deliver strategic IT vision for the UK of the future technology to the business that could see business succeed. i.e AI\Metaverse.
- Schedule and carry out Annual Vulnerability Testing externally and internally for IT all Systems & Applications alongside 3rd party.
- Ensure any remediation following vulnerability testing is successfully completed and resolved alongside the Managed Services Provider.
- Carry out appraisal of IT Support Specialist and ensure development/feedback and objectives are met/reviewed annually.
- Manage IT Ticket System for Support & Ensure team workload is organized alongside IT Specialist.
- Assist US IT Team with Phishing email testing and Deliver Security Awareness Training to all new and existing employees.
- Network Hardware - Responsible for all company networking equipment such as servers, hubs, switches, network cards, and wiring. Also, for all network software components and client connectivity.
- Software Application Support - Responsible for all server-based software applications such as office suites, e-mail databases, data backup systems, virus protection, and application metering.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Completion of a Bachelor's degree from four year college or university, IT related desirable.
- Extensive related IT management experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience of ERP System Management/Administration - Glovia G2 desirable.
- Experience of Office 365/Azure and Administration - Microsoft IT Related Qualifications desirable.
- Experience of Cyber Security - Management of SIEM\Security Awareness tools desirable. CompTIA\ISACA Qualifications desirable.
