Job description
Skillsearch is looking for a talented and passionate VFX Artist with a deep appreciation for superhero movies to join our client's inclusive and friendly team on a remote-working basis. This full-time VFX remote role offers a salary of £50,000 and a benefits package.
As a VFX Artist, you will be responsible for creating captivating visual effects that bring character special abilities, energetic effects and dynamic animations to life.
In your first few weeks in this VFX Artist role, you can expect to:
- Collaborate closely with the design and animation teams to ensure VFX align with character narratives and gameplay mechanics
- Develop stunning and immersive VFX for character special abilities, ensuring a balance between visual spectacle and gameplay clarity
- Iterate and refine effects based on player feedback and technical requirements
- Create high-quality energy effects and intricate particle systems that enhance the overall visual experience of the game.
To apply for this VFX role, you will need proven experience as a VFX Artist in the gaming industry. You will also require the following:
- Proficiency in Unreal Engine and experience in optimising effects for real-time applications
- A portfolio showcasing VFX work, with a focus on character special abilities, energy effects, and animations
- Knowledge of industry-standard software such as Houdini, Ember Gen, or similar VFX tools
- Experience with shaders.
