Trinity Methodist Church in Long Eaton, is looking for someone who is contagiously passionate, a role model, self-motivated with a passion and understanding for evangelism among young adults and their families.

Trinity Methodist Church is a lively, loving and growing town centre church. There are Sunday and week day groups for children, young people and their families; Messy church, family mornings, youth club, Guides, schools work, and more. We have employed both family and youth workers in the past and we are ready for the next stage of this work.

We are looking for someone who can take a lead by:

• Supporting and equipping our volunteer teams
• · Support the growth of young adults 16+, both our existing and the those turning up at the door.
• Support the spiritual growth and development of these young adults. With a focus on furthering the input of this age group into the leadership, mission and ministry of the church.
• Support those on the edge of church life for example.
• The outreach to those needing opportunities for socialising such as the current warm space initiative.
• The integration of those coming from overseas into the life of the church.
• For clarity this role differs from our current work supporting the young adults who are seeking asylum which is the work of the Refugee Support Coordinator's role.

This is a role for an experienced worker with children, youth and/or families, who is also confident working with young adults to raise their skills and confidence in ministry. You may have a formal qualification in family work or ministry or life-experience that would enable you to consider this role.

This exciting post is initially part-time (20 hours).

Salary of circa £15,000 for 20 hours (depending on experience and qualifications).
