Job description
Head of Patient Safety and Quality is responsible for developing leading and implementing the patient safety and quality of this service. This position is responsible for driving a culture of patient safety and quality across the organisation collaborating with key stakeholders and creating systems and processes that support the delivery of safe highquality care. Role to be based at Ilford UK.
Tasks
- Develop implement and monitor a comprehensive patient safety and quality strategy that meets organisational goals and objectives.
- Lead mentor and develop the patient safety and clinical team.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders including clinicians staff and external partners.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive safety and quality dashboard providing timely and accurate data to inform decisionmaking.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the patient safety and quality program making recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to patient safety and quality.
- Serve as a resource for patient safety and quality for all members of the organization.
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Nursing Healthcare Administration or related field
- 10 years of experience in a patient safety and qualityrelated role preferred.
- Experience leading teams in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and patient safety principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead and manage change.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated project management and problemsolving skills.
