We are the internal recruitment partner for our client, a well-established organisation specialising in sustainable transportation solutions through innovation, in both material science and manufacturing processes.

We are presenting an exciting opportunity for a CNC Machine Shop Operator to join the team, based in Huntingdon.

As a CNC Machine Shop Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining large 3 and 5 axis CNC machines to produce high-quality components according to engineering specifications.

You will interpret technical drawings, select appropriate tools, and perform machine setups. In addition, you will monitor machine operations, make necessary adjustments, and inspect finished components to ensure they meet the required standards and adhere to production schedules.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC operator or similar role.
• Proficiency in operating and setting up CNC machines, including knowledge of various machine controls and programming languages.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and gauges.
• Work closely with the team to maximise productivity and efficiency.
• Ability to take ownership with effective decision-making skills.
• Able to work on own initiative within a high-pressure environment.
• Able to work within tight time scales whilst maintaining and promoting quality standards.
• Highly organised and detailed orientated.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A strong drive to learn and develop further technically.

• A competitive salary of £29,640 per annum.
• Working Hours: (Mon-Wed 06:00-16:00, Thu 06:00-15:30)
