Sales Manager – Fire and Security - Midlands
Are you an experienced manager that has worked within the fire and security industry? You could be
working for an installer of fire and electronic security products, or a distributor or manufacturer and looking to take the next step in your career. Due to internal promotion our client is looking for a Sales Manager to join their growing team. You will be responsible for looking after a team of 10 business development managers and surveyors supporting with their personal development and coaching to reach their full potential.
Ideally you will be located in the West Midland area and be comfortable working from home but you will also be expected to be out in the field supporting your team, attending clients visits and networking events when required.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Support the Key Account Management & Sales function with specific team targets for order intake, new business opportunities and customer satisfaction.
- Broad experience managing both Reactive & Proactive Styles of team members with a focus on both existing clients and targeted new clients and opportunities.
- Management of Team KPI’s in terms of customer service, time management , pipeline management , accurate forecasting as well as supporting the new sales team to grow and build a fully qualified pipeline of opportunities within the Housing & Public Sector.
- Take the lead on key opportunities and provide support to the wider team to deliver and secure large accounts as well as ensuring key accounts service levels are maintained.
- Design and compilation of client focused, solutions led tenders and proposals.
- To establish and progress a new business pipeline to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual growth targets.
- Leadership and management of the Key Accounts & Sales team to ensure delivery of company sales targets for existing clients as well as achieving growth with new Recurring Revenue, Projects, and Housing/Public Sector Tenders.
- Define a robust strategic approach to drive proactive up-selling and cross selling to the existing customer base.
- Production, delivery and ongoing monitoring and adjustment of the sales strategy to meet company objectives and changing market opportunities.
- A trusted advisor to existing & new customers. Actively learn about the customer, their pains, areas of improvement and identify solutions to support the client.
- Gather, maintain and create accurate market information that allows informed decision making and identification of new tender opportunities.
- Ensure that all company compliance and protocols are adhered to.
- Manage and identify skill & knowledge training to increase confidence and ability in the Fire and/or Security Sector.
- Support and work with the Divisional Sales Director, Bid Manager, and other Key Stakeholders to pre plan and identify potential growth and recruitment of Surveyors and Sales Staff.
Remuneration
- Hybrid working.
- £55-65k basic £85k OTE with commission scheme.
