Role Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1-to-1 Pastoral Support staff member to join our team. This pivotal role involves providing individualized pastoral care and guidance to students within our school community, focusing on their emotional, social, and behavioural development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored pastoral care plans for students, addressing their specific needs and challenges.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment conducive to each student's emotional and social growth.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and external support services to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being.
- Offer one-on-one support and guidance to students, assisting in managing emotions, behaviour, and social interactions.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and pastoral interventions, providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a similar role within a SEND or educational setting.
- Understanding and empathy towards the needs of students with diverse learning and emotional needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Relevant qualifications in counselling, psychology, social work, or education (desirable).
