Job description

Greeting patients Answering telephone queries from women and their families and hospital staff Booking appointments on electronic record system Entering appointment stats on electronic system Allocation of daily workload to midwives and support workers Coordination of cover in the event of homebirths, staff sickness or any other unexpected or sudden change in events Maintaining adequate stock levels Responsible stock rotation to avoid wastage Looking ahead to anticipate stock required Working with the Matron and Community Team Leaders to plan staffing and cover for clinics Liaison with GP surgeries and Health Visitors as required by clinical staff Maintaining a clean and tidy reception area
