Cover Supervisor
Location: Kingston upon Hull
Start Date: Immediately
Salary: £80 - £100 per day*
GSL Education Hull are looking to employ a number of Cover Supervisors to work with their client schools in Kingston upon Hull starting immediately .
As a Cover Supervisor your main responsibilities will be to:
- Supervisor classes across the curriculum in the event of a teacher absence.
- Ensure that pupils are engaging in pre-planned work.
- Manage pupil behaviour to create a safe and positive learning environment.
- Liaise with other staff members in regard to work being set and ensure you have all suitable resources.
- Provide feedback to the class teacher on pupil attendance, engagement and completion of work tasks.
To be a successful Cover Supervisor you should:
- Hold an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher or be a Graduate considering a career in education.
- Have at least 6 months of UK experience preferably.
- Have knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies (training can be provided).
- Have the ability and willingness to undertake additional training and courses to enhance your professional development.
- Empathise with young people and have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Have the ability to use your own initiative to work flexibly and be able to respond to different situations.
- Have an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or a willingness to apply for one.
