Job description
Chepstow Construction and Maintenance (CCM), the civil engineering division of Chepstow Plant International are seeking to employ an Operations Manager to help support the company's General Manager during a period of growth.
Job Skills
- University degree in civil engineering or equivalent work experience to carry out the role of operation manager with experience in a similar role.
- Extensive civil engineering and groundworks experience.
- Competent in all aspects of information transfer from plans to spreadsheets for costing and analysis.
- Exceptional client facing skills are a prerequisite.
- Flexibility is essential.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office, word, excel, project and power point.
Job Role & Duties
- To cost and submit tender opportunities within the civil engineering and groundworks sectors working alongside the operational management.
- Tender management to include ability to visit sites to scope along with interpret plans and construction details.
- Manage the cost control and application for payments timeously at set frequencies while building and maintaining relationships crucial to the continuing success of the project.
- Maintaining and updating the Cost Resource Management system.
- Monitoring the performance of the contracts while seeking cost reduction opportunities to increase profit through increased efficiency and cost control.
- Ability to risk assessment method of working and produce full suite of method statements and risk management pack.
