SALARY: £38,295 - £42,550
LOCATION(S): Edinburgh
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Edinburgh office location.

The Data & Analytics team is a multi-disciplined team of about 80 colleagues sitting within the Insurance, Pensions & Investments COO team.
Our roles range from Data Governance and Management to Data Science, developing Business Insight and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) using a variety of data platforms to provide the services our business needs.
Here's how you will make a difference:
Understand and document the business needs and goals, and the data requirements and expectations, of the stakeholders, and ensure that the data models and analysis meet the business and user needs and are aligned with the organizational goals and standards.
Communicate and present data analysis results and recommendations to stakeholders, such as managers, clients, and partners, using methods such as reports, presentations, and storytelling.
Collaborate with other data professionals, such as data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts, to ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy, and support business intelligence strategies with quantitative analysis.
Identify and resolve any data quality, integrity, or performance issues, and any conflicts or gaps between the data and the business needs, using data modelling and analysis tools and techniques.

What you'll need
Experience and proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as SQL, Excel, Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI.
Experience and proficiency in data modelling techniques and tools, such as entity-relationship, object-oriented, or RDF models, and ERwin, PowerDesigner, ER/Studio, or Visio.
Experience and proficiency in business analysis techniques and tools, such as requirement analysis, business process improvement, agile working, and prototyping, Jira, and Confluence
