Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

We are working with one of N.I.’s leading multi-disciplined building services and construction companies, they are looking to add a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their Facilities Management team based in Belfast.

The Role:

To work as part of a dedicated team within a large commercial site in Belfast. Working hours will be a standard 40 hours, mainly Monday to Friday (rotation between 7am – 4pm and 9am - 6pm). Emergency call-out will be required over and above normal working hours but will be set within an agreed pattern (1 week in every 4).

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Mechanical / Plumbing maintenance tasks
• Troubleshooting in order to diagnose and correct faults.
• Carry out planned maintenance - daily, weekly, monthly checks including remedial works.
• Meeting delivery and quality KPIs
• Logging and closing PPM and reactive jobs on computer based systems

Person Specification:

• NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years experience within a similar environment
• Strong working knowledge in Mechanical / Plumbing Maintenance tasks
• The ability to analyse a problem and develop a solution with minimum input from others.
• Capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings
