Job description
Applications Engineer / Project Engineer / Proposals Engineer required to join a designer and manufacturer of advanced technologies primarily going into the automotive industry but also has aerospace applications based in Bedford
The successful Applications Engineer / Project Engineer / Proposals Engineer will act as the bridge between the sales department and customers as well as communicate between the customer and the design team
Package Up to £35k depending on experience

Role Translate technical specifications into comprehensive calculations to ensure adherence to required standards.
Generate accurate cost estimates for new assembly proposals by leveraging in-depth knowledge of key suppliers.
Prepare and deliver quotations to customers, maintaining optimal profitability levels.
Monitor departmental performance metrics and achieve agreed-upon targets.
Facilitate communication between customers and design teams to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
Track design progress to ensure timely completion and delivery.
Collaborate with various departments, including production, operations, and quality assurance, to uphold high levels of customer satisfaction.
Coordinate the submission of assembly drawings for customer approval and manage the final submission of certified drawings and special documentation according to customer specifications."
Requirements Previous experience in a similar role – Applications Engineer, Project Engineer, Proposals Engineer
Engineering qualification – HNC in Mechanical engineering as a minimum, HNC in Mechanical Engineering is desired
