My client is a third party logistics provider, which has seen significant growth over the past 12 months with multiple new contracts. One is particular has endless scope for growth so they are looking for an experienced manager to join the team and support with the progress.
Job Description
Continuous Improvement Manager Responsibilities
- Conduct Lean awareness training and workshops with participants across all levels and areas of the business.
- Champion Continuous Improvement activities across the site
- Lead and coordinate improvement activities through the application of lean techniques to improve; Safety & Sustainability, Quality, Delivery and reduce Costs.
- Educate team members across the site in Lean techniques and their application including 5S
- Support operations supervision with the introduction of daily management and embedding a culture of structured problem solving within daily operations.
- Planning and delivering improvement activities
- Support the improvement framework and team member development.
- Support the site to drive waste out of processes.
- Present results and findings of improvement activities to senior management
- Review the processes in place and create a plan for improvements
The Successful Applicant
Continuous Improvement Manager requires experience in:
- Hands on operational experience with a proven record of improving processes
- Has proven experience in operational matters in a fast-moving dynamic environment.
- Implemented 5S processes
- Proven experience of implementing process improvements from start to finish
