Production Manager
Our client is looking for an experienced Production Manager for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. The contract could potentially be extended.
The role sits within a dynamic forward thinking and well-respected engineering and manufacturing business in the Poole area. A demanding and exciting role that will command overall leadership of production planning and all production fucntions.
Key responsibilities as
Production Manager :
- As the overall Production Manager, you will ensure the Production Leads and Team Leaders are communicating and sharing best practice.
- Leading daily- problem solving as required across various teams, including fabrication and production, and planning.
- You will be responsible for production costing and quality.
- Lead and develop any direct reports into the position. Mentoring, leading by example, and coaching as appropriate
- Support all Heads of departments, such as HSE and Planning
- Have a focus on continuous improvement across the business as a whole.
Experience and skill required as
Production Manager :
- A solid background leading production and operational teams, ideally within an engineering business
- You will be an excellent communicator, able to demonstrate a proven ability to bring teams together and work cohesively. A great team builder
- An in-depth knowledge of business improvement methodologies
- MRP/ERP experience
- A sound knowledge of financial management
