Your new role
As the IT Security Lead , you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data. Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager , you'll be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust information security practices.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Risk Management: Take a risk-based approach to securing data and systems. Assess risks, identify corrective actions, and keep risk information up to date.
- Security Policies: Develop and maintain policies for acceptable and secure use of services. Collaborate on staff training to enhance cyber risk awareness.
- Asset Management: Oversee service asset information throughout their life cycle, identifying potential security risks.
- Security Baseline Builds: Define security standards for services and configuration items. Regularly assess vulnerabilities.
- Access Controls: Establish effective processes for controlling system and data access, limiting privileged system accounts.
- Monitoring Strategy: Develop monitoring procedures to analyse logs and detect potential risks or security incidents.
- Incident Response and Recovery: Create and maintain security incident response and disaster recovery plans.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience: Demonstrable experience within an information security framework in a medium/large organisation.
- IT Skills: Familiarity with IT services and asset management systems, Microsoft 365, and the Power Platform Suite.
- Certifications: (ISC)2 or Microsoft: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals Certified.
- Knowledge: Understanding of ISO270001, ITIL, and PRINCE II management practices.
