Waste Operations Manager
Salary: Competitive plus performance bonus and pension
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week

What you'll be doing; - Manage 10 employees and the daily operations of the Rochester Transfer Station, ensuring the site operates safely and efficiently.
- Control the movement of materials in and out of the transfer station.
- Ensure the site has competent operational staff who feel empowered and motivated.
- Ensure material is dispatched as per waste flow requirements.
- Build relationships with customers and colleagues, including the wider Veolia Municipal team.
- Build a partnership with local council members.
- Ensure staff are fully trained and identify areas of training needed.
- Maximise and utilise the fixed and mobile plant on site.
- Ensure any defects or damages are reported.
- Act as a deputy for the Contract Manager during annual leave or other absences.
- Assist the contact Manager with the annual budget and forecasting.
What we're looking for; - Experience of people management.
- Health and Safety Knowledge and experience.
- Environmental Knowledge and experience.
- COTC (Certificate of Technical Competence) Transfer Hazardous.
- Experience within the waste management industry is desirable.
- IOSH is desirable.
