Job description

SQL Database Administrator

A leading Financial Services company is looking to hire a SQL Database Administrator.

You would be responsible for;

* Performance and tuning of our production SQL environment hosted both on prem and in Azure

* Proactively monitoring and identifying changes required to optimise the Azure SQL Environment

* Working closely with engineering and technical support teams to improve reliability and scalability for the clients

Therefore, they are looking for candidates with the following skills and experiences;

* Substantial experience in installation, configuration and support of SQL Server (2008 R2 and above).

* Experience working in a hybrid Azure SQL Server environment

* Hands on experience with TSQL and Powershell

* SQL Backup, Index optimisation, Database integrity, exposure to Commvault

* Ability to provide 24/7 on call cover on a 1 in 3 basis
