Role Overview – Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS):
As an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant with personal care experience, the role entails playing a vital role in supporting the developmental needs of young children in their early years.
Responsibilities include:
Providing compassionate and attentive personal care assistance to children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), including changing nappies, assisting with toileting, and attending to other personal needs as required.
Collaborating closely with experienced educators in the EYFS team to deliver targeted support and activities tailored to the developmental needs of young children.
Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development, prioritizing the well-being and safety of every child.
Actively engaging children in stimulating and age-appropriate activities that foster curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.
Building positive and supportive relationships with parents, guardians, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration in supporting children’s developmental progress.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
Previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting, particularly in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Practical experience and confidence in providing personal care assistance, including changing nappies and attending to personal hygiene needs.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in childcare, early years education, or a related field.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with young children, prioritizing their well-being and developmental needs.
