The Opportunity
- My client is looking for an experienced Housing Officer to cover a patch of general needs social housing properties across Greater London, with primary locations in Harrow.
- Working hours between Monday to Friday, 9AM to 5PM – 37.5 hours per week. Housing Officer’s will manage their own caseload of properties and tenants, so there is flexibility on the above working hours.
- This role will offer hybrid working, between remote/home-based work and on-site responsibilities.
- Competitive pay rate between £20.00-£23.00 per hour, with additional mileage consideration for expenses on top of this.
- Housing Officer’s will initially work for a temporary period of 3 months. As this is a vacancy cover, it is likely this assignment will be extended and/or considered for permanence.
The Requirements
- Successful Housing Officer’s will have generic experience across housing management features; antisocial behaviour, income recovery, void and tenancy management across estates.
- Over 1 years’ experience in a housing officer (or equivalent) role.
- Housing Officer’s should have a full UK driving license, to accommodate travel to further afield services, as required.
- Housing officers may be subject to a DBS check.
- Court representative experience and understanding of relevant eviction processes must be possessed by the successful Housing Officer.
- Housing Officer’s must be confident and adaptable in nature, able to work well under pressure and thrive within a fast-paced environment.
The Desirables
- Over 3 years’ experience in managing antisocial behaviour and general estate maintenance, including supervision of maintenance staff.
- Possession of housing-related qualifications or memberships.
