The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Factory Manager to lead our team at our Concrete Products site in Carnforth, which operates Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:00 & Friday’s 07:00-14:00. This is a fantastic time to join the site as we have invested in excess of £1.5m over the past few years and intend to continue with CAPEX projects throughout 2024 & 2025.
As the Factory Manager you will organise and oversee the manufacturing of our products. Targeted with producing 40,000+ tonnes of product annually you will be ultimately responsible for the smooth running of production lines and the quality of output.
You’ll develop a strong relationship with your team onsite of nine, plus the wider business.
You’ll work within budgets and operational timescales to achieve KPIs.
You’ll oversee production processes in our factories and working on efficiencies.
You’ll also supervise and manage the work of employees under your control and organising relevant training sessions and carrying out performance reviews.
Who you are
You’ll have experience working within a manufacturing environment, looking to develop your career within a heavy industrial environment.
You’ll either have current leadership/ supervisory experience or have a technical background looking to take that first step into a leadership role.
We are a Health & Safety focussed business so you’ll ideally hold an IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH qualification.
You’ll have strong people management skills with the ability to train and develop your team
