PETA are proud to be working with Cybrid Solutions to support them with the recruitment and training of a new IT Technician Apprentice. The successful applicant will join the growing team based in Langstone, Portsmouth.

We are seeking an IT Support talent to join our team at Cybrid Solutions where you will gain hands on experience, providing 1st line Support and innovative solutions for businesses both nationally and internationally. The successful applicant will undertake a L3 Information Communication Technician: Technical Support apprenticeship.
Training to be provided: As an IT Support Apprentice, you will be studying towards a level three ICT Support Technician apprenticeship. This apprenticeship is 22 months in length and will involve ongoing onsite training and mentoring from the Cybrid Solutions team combined with 25 days of off the job training at the PETA training centre in Cosham.
About the role: You will be part of an award-winning technology solutions team, who have built a reputation of a trusted advisor in IT support, backup & recovery and cyber security.
What will my new role involve? Joining the team as an IT infrastructure apprentice, you will be:
- Providing 1st Line Support and where required escalate faults according to the company’s procedure
- Communicating with clients remotely and in person
- Conducting day to day management of work queues, prioritizing events and re-assigning events where necessary
- Checking backups
- Contributing to an affective service team performance
- Documenting and assisting other technicians with various networking and installation tasks
Essential skills: Could this be the ideal role for me? To be considered for this role you must have a keen interest in IT and be eager to learn new skills. You will also require the following skills and qualifications:
- Knowledge of PC and Laptop hardware, software and basic network troubleshooting
- Experience of working in a customer facing role
- Good communication skills at all levels
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively
- English and maths GCSE (Grade C or above)
Desirable Criteria: - Driving license will be advantage
- BTEC L3 in IT or equivalent will be beneficial
