What you will do in your working day
The Pooch Patch are looking for a bubbly apprentice, that can be kind but firm with dogs that come in for grooming. You must be passionate about providing an exceptional service to our clients, whilst ensuring that the dogs are relaxed.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Assisting Groomers
- Bathing
- Drying
- Partially grooming
- Lead on Preventative Canine Dental Care, Pooch Patch will put you through the Level 2 qualification for this
- Cleaning equipment to high standards to prevent cross contamination
- Liaising with Clients
- Booking dogs in
No previous experience is necessary, but having experience in a dog related business is desirable.
This apprenticeship is based at the employer location and no college days will be required. You must be a UK resident or have lived in the UK for three consecutive years to apply for this role. The interview process will consist of a trial day. Very easily accessible location with public transport links.
The training you will be getting
- Dog Groomer Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard
- All training will take place within the workplace
- Your dedicated trainer coach will visit you in person and remotely at work every month.

- Progression to be a fully qualified dog groomer is possible for the right candidate

- Possibility of being a full time employee after this apprenticeship ends
