Our client is an independent fashion house.

Leveraging new technologies to bring leading-edge digital environments to the shop floor, enhancing customer experience and customer service in the fulfilment of an omni-channel sales strategy.

The organisation’s entire product portfolio is designed in-house, manufactured offshore, shipped to their headquarters in Carrickfergus, and distributed to retailers across the UK, ROI and Europe.

They’re looking for a Buyer to join the team to work on their best-in-class schoolwear brand.

As the Buyer, you will co-ordinate and control all aspects of development and delivery of the schoolwear collection from conception to fulfilment.

You will oversee production programming, demand planning and quality control systems and procedures. You will strive to maximise performance in relation to cost efficiency and delivery schedules.

Working with an international supply base, you will negotiate prices, lead times and terms of trade, managing all aspects of order fulfilment including freight and efficient import procedures.

This is a varied and challenging role calling for a confident communicator with meticulous attention to detail, good numeracy skills and accuracy.

The successful candidate will be well organised and flexible, a good team player with a methodical approach and the ability to meet deadlines. In addition, they must be resilient, an effective problem solver, with excellent interpersonal skills.

As part of your role, you may be required to occasionally travel to visit offshore production facilities.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

- Third level education in a related field.
- An analytical mind and with a methodical approach and the ability to effectively interpret data.
- A high level of IT literacy, including MS Office.
- A full driving licence and valid passport.
