ROLE: Data Scientist / Analytics Expert
LOCATION: Remote
CLEARANCE: Must be a UK Citizen OR have been in the UK for 5 years
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams at Amber Labs to understand and update demand forecast models based on audit actions.
- Utilise expertise in time series forecasting to enhance the accuracy and reliability of forecasting models.
- Leverage advanced analytics techniques, including but not limited to XG Boost and Neural Networks, to optimize predictive modeling.
- Stay current with industry best practices and implement innovative approaches to improve forecasting methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in time series forecasting is a minimum requirement.
- Demonstrated expertise in demand forecasting and predictive analytics.
- Familiarity with advanced machine learning techniques, including XG Boost and Neural Networks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Skills and Experience:
- Recent project experience in time series forecasting is essential.
- Previous exposure to demand forecasting and predictive analytics methodologies.
- Proficiency in utilizing advanced analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Additional Preferences:
- Experience in the energy or utility sector is desirable but not mandatory.
