Job description

Robert Half are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee the day-to-day financial operations for a rapidly growing education provider. The ideal candidate will lead a dedicated team responsible for revenue accounting, management accounting, and payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions.

Location: Remote (With occasional travel to Cornwall for the handover)

Rate: £350 - £400 (Via Umbrella)

Role: Financial Controller

Duration: 3 Months

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate month-end closing activities and prepare comprehensive month-end reports, particularly focusing on the intricacies of acquisition-related financial activities
• Manage a team consisting of revenue accountants, management accountants, and payroll specialists
• Facilitate the integration process for new roles and acquisitions, overseeing financial transactions and ensuring seamless transitions
• Prepare board packs and management information reports, contributing to rolling forecasts and cash flow management
• Manage the audit process, coordinating data requests and liaising with audit teams
• Utilise Sage accounting software system effectively to streamline financial processes

Qualifications and Skills:

• Qualified (CIMA / ACA / ACCA) or Qualified by experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners
• Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
