Job Title: 7.5 Tonne Driver - Permanent Role in Bury St EdmundsWorkchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is excited to present an outstanding opportunity for a skilled and reliable 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our client's team in Bury St Edmunds. If you are looking for a permanent position in the driving industry, this could be the perfect fit for you!Key Responsibilities:- Safely and efficiently drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle to transport goods and materials within the designated area.- Ensure prompt and accurate delivery of goods, following delivery schedules and routes provided.- Conduct pre and post-checks on the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and safety.- Handle any necessary paperwork, including delivery notes, log sheets, and vehicle maintenance records.- Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor during interactions with clients and customers.- Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.- Adhere to all relevant driving regulations, traffic laws, and company policies to ensure compliance and safety.- Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle to ensure its optimal performance.- Follow all health and safety guidelines, especially during the loading and unloading of goods.Qualifications and Skills:- Valid Category C1 (7.5 Tonne) driving license.- Previous experience as a 7.5 Tonne Driver preferred, although newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply.- A good understanding of road and traffic regulations, particularly in the Bury St Edmunds area.- Strong communication skills, allowing effective interaction with colleagues, clients, and customers.- Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing time and adhering to delivery schedules.- A responsible and reliable approach to work, ensuring the safety of oneself and others.- Excellent organizational skills, enabling efficient routing and planning.- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and an ability to conduct pre and post-vehicle checks.- Flexibility to work varied shifts, which may include weekends or evenings.Pay Rate: £12.00 - £13.00 per hour (dependent on experience)If you are enthusiastic, reliable, and possess the necessary skills to excel in this role, we encourage you to apply at workchain.co.uk.
