The Position

Job Overview:

An exciting and broad ranging opportunity to help develop, grow and shape our cricket for social good programmes. General Duties:

• Working alongside the Cricket Participation Manager to support and deliver inclusion & diversity programmes within the county. This includes:
• Support the delivery and implementation of the ECB Core Cities & Cricket4London Programmes, developing urban community hubs across south London
• Project lead on our Vauxhall Loop programme and develop similar projects around inner London boroughs
• Project lead on our Refugee Cricket programme and support future projects
• Project lead our Street Child United cricket and workplace mentoring programme
• Create and develop a Tapeball league offering and project lead our national finals event
• Support and implement the Surrey Cricket Foundation’s EDI plan.
• Identify opportunities to increase and improve non-traditional playing facilities in urban areas, working alongside the ECB and local councils
• Work alongside community groups and other cricketing organisations such ACCA, ACE, BTCL
• Responsible for the ongoing monitoring and reporting of all aspects of your work programmes to include completion of monthly activity reports for submission to relevant Committees at SCCC and SCF
• Develop our volunteer workforce within diverse communities

Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following experience/skill/qualities:

• Passionate about making a difference in local communities
• At least two years’ experience working in a sports development role either paid or voluntary.
• Knowledge and understanding of ethnically diverse communities across London and Surrey
• Proven track record of managing a project on time, within budget, hitting all the success factors
• Knowledge and experience of budget control and financial management
• Experience of working with volunteers and casual employees
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Developed influencing skills
• Excellent time management skills. Ability to work autonomously
• Good computer literacy, including MS office
• Commitment to a continual professional development programme
• A keen interest and understanding of cricket
• A full driving licence with access to own transport
• Experience of writing and supporting funding applications for grant funding

Satisfactory ECB DBS Check, First Aid, Safeguarding and the right to work in the UK
