Group Specialist: Child Protection, Family Support & Exploited Children

Grade PO18

£55,579 - £58,711*

*includes £3,000 market factor payment

37 hours per week

This post is a designated Group Manager role with responsibility for managing the Assessment and Duty Service as well as having strategic responsibilities for the Child at Risk Through Exploitation (CATE) Service.

The postholder will:

• Work alongside Service Delivery Managers in Children’s Safeguarding, Family Support and SEND and be committed to improving the future of children, young people and their families.
• Line manage and supervise the Assessment and Duty and CATE team managers and any other post that will come within the service.
• Support the SDM in overseeing the quality of work across the CPFS and Exploited Children Service area, taking a lead role to fully embed the Contextual Safeguarding model of practice.
• Support the SDM in developing robust processes and procedures within the service which allows for safe and efficient working with children and their families.
• The Group Specialist will be involved in a range of audit activities, establishing and reporting on key performance data, preparation of reports, responding to complaints and representing the Service and deputising for the Service Delivery Manager at specific meetings.
• The Group Specialist will also be expected to develop new ways of working within the service, particularly with the exploitation service.

The Group Specialist will have in-depth knowledge, and understanding of both programme management and the CE transformation agenda
