Content Creator - Web

WOODLAND TRUST

Location

India | United Kingdom

Job description

As a web Content Creator volunteer, you'll assist our web content team in creating inspiring content about the Woodland Trust, helping the organisation to reach a broader audience. The content could be featured in Woodland Trust marketing communications including the Woodland Trust website.

How does it work? When we need new content, we'll send a brief to our proactive team of Content Creators via the handy volunteering app Assemble. If you're inspired by the brief, you can assign yourself to the task and be the one to create it! If you have any questions about the brief, the volunteer manager will be happy to discuss them via a group chat or direct message. The task could involve blogging, photography or generating creative ideas. Once you’ve said yes to the brief, your volunteer manager will set you up to chat with the Woodland Trust staff member to discuss any details.

Projects can be completed independently or as a group. There will be opportunities to feedback on each other’s work, learn from each other and discover stats on how your work is engaging the audience.

We’re looking for people who can commit to a minimum term of 12 months. In this very flexible role, you’ll have the freedom to manage your own time to meet each brief deadline. You’ll need to commit to at least two hours per month. You can complete more than two hours per month if you wish, with no upward limit.

You will need your own phone / camera and will be asked to sign a non-exclusive license to enable any photographs taken for this role to be used by the Woodland Trust to support our work. However, the copyright remains with you so that you can continue to use your photos. You will also need to be able to access one of our sites within 30 miles of your home.

Please note this opportunity supports young people and therefore is only available for 16-25 year old's. Anyone under 18 applying for this role must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also registered as a Woodland Trust volunteer.
