Due to increasing student numbers, Brentwood County High School is on a journey of improvement and is seeking to appoint additional staff. Following our “Good” Ofsted rating in June 2022 and several years of excellent student outcomes, demand for places in Year 7 and Year 12 has been rising. In February 2024, we will be excited to open the final stage of our £27 million DFE heritage building project. This will provide new state-of-the-art learning environments including a new science department, sporting, technology, and art facilities, whilst also retaining the character of the original school buildings that date back over a century.

Brentwood County High School is looking to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic and dynamic teacher to join our successful History Department. The ideal candidate would be someone with the talent to inspire their students, whilst having a passion for history and the impact your teaching could have on our students to make learning an enjoyable and inspiring experience. The successful candidate will be joining a highly motivated team of superbly collaborative teachers committed to a creative and stimulating approach to teaching and learning, and to instilling a passion for History in our students.

The successful candidate will be able to teach history across key stage 3 & 4, with the potential to teach A-level.  We require someone that has a great understanding of the curriculum and how they can support student development across the age and ability ranges.
