The Opportunity…
At Hinkley Point C (HPC) we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.
We are looking for a Business Analyst , to join our Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC (MEH) Project Office.
The MEH Project Office is responsible for the governance and assurance of the MEH Programme and overseeing the safety, quality, schedule and cost performance of the MEH programme. It is a hub of diverse activities all aimed at streamlining the project’s delivery.

What you’ll be doing…
- Creating monthly reporting (including Insight tool, PRM actions, MEH core documentation, MEH contract List of Deliverables and Project Quality Control Plans) for MEH management to improve performance indicators within the project management teams.
- Increasing MEH programme compliance with nuclear baseline and non-nuclear baseline roles by ensuring Training and role profiles (TPR) are in place and updated in a timely manner. Driving performance indicators for TPRs by being the main point of contact within MEH to provide training, support to the programme, and maintaining regular contact with NNB training and other relevant departments where required.
- Completing MEH Nuclear Baseline vulnerability assessment where required by the business.
- Providing support where appropriate on ad-hoc requests including oversight and management of input to key stakeholders e.g. writing board papers, Project Change Requests (PCRs), etc.
- Ensuring that the process for funding embedded contractors for the MEH programme is shared and understood by the management and that it is working well and amend if necessary.
- Coordination of the recruitment of industrial placements for the MEH programme. Being the main point of contact within MEH, ensuring requirements and updates are shared in a timely manner between management and recruitment, interviews are set up efficiently and all management have an opportunity to hire.
Who you are…
Your background may include some of the following:
- Experience working within large, complex, multidisciplinary projects, including managing & reporting on the performance and effectiveness of the organisation.
- Experience working collaboratively across large organisations to secure alignment and delivery of key objectives.
- Experience with managing and extracting data from different data management tools and the ability and enthusiasm to learn.
- Experience of communicating information across all levels of an organisation and ability to build a network within the organisation.
- Ability to understand the basics of project management is preferred.
- Knowledge of Licence Conditions in the UK nuclear industry including general knowledge of LCs would be beneficial.
- General knowledge of the EPR reactor design including major systems and key functions and awareness of nuclear power reactor operation particularly related to PWR/EPR key operation principles, main systems, and basic functions, is beneficial.
- Knowledge of the HPC project including principle goals, project structure/organisation and project tools including key interfaces, contracting model, principle goals and project structure/organisation.
- Qualification – academic or professional educated to Degree Level is preferred.
