Job description

Robert Half are working exclusively with a client based in Portsmouth to recruit a permanent Finance Manager to join their team.

The client is looking for a candidate who can work with them 5 days on-site, however the client don't provide on-site parking. The annual salary on offer is up to £50,000 dependant on experience. The client are open to qualified candidates, and qualified by experience.

Some of the main duties of the Finance Manager include but won't be limited to:

• Daily responsibility for the efficient running of the finance function, ensuring the delivery of customer focused services
• Work with the principal to ensure that the annual and ongoing financial planning, forecasting and controls are appropriate and sufficient to meet the needs of the company
• Produce regular reports and ad-hoc data requests
• Ensure all month end and year end processes are undertaken in a timely manner
• Provide prompt and accurate processing and recording of all financial transactions including sales invoices, credit notes, payments, purchase invoices, debt notes, commissions, journals etc.
• Preparation and submission of external statutory and regulatory returns: VAT, PAYE, pension providers,ONS.
• Line manage other members of the finance team
