Yeovil Primary Care Network aims to share the resources of local practices and collaborate, together with others who provide health resources in Yeovil. This collaborative approach to care provision allows for enhanced services and opportunities for patients to receive more personalised care.

We are now looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis – but part-time work will be considered.

The Role

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will prepare a range of medicines to fulfil prescriptions for patients.

Working alongside clinical pharmacists, community pharmacists and a multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical, technical and administrative pharmaceutical support.

With a focus on leading on improvements to maximise safe and cost-effective practice in our prescription process, you will support patients to switch their medication, enhance repeat prescribing processes and minimise risk and waste. You will also encourage a better understanding of medicine optimisation throughout our practice teams.

About You

To be considered as a Pharmacy Technician, you will need:

- Professional registration as a Pharmacy Technician with GPhC
- Experience of working as a qualified, registered pharmacy technician in primary care, community or a hospital pharmacy
- An excellent understanding of data protection and confidentiality issues
- The ability to analyse and interpret prescribing data
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to adjust communication style and content to suit the audience
